Intention + Vibration = Healing
Sound Has Healing Power
Sound healing offers a myriad of benefits for individuals seeking holistic well-being. Utilized as an ancient modality, it serves as a powerful tool to realign the body, mind, and spirit, fostering a sense of harmony.
This practice extends beyond its historical roots, finding contemporary recognition in modern medicine and science for its therapeutic advantages. Scientific studies confirm its efficacy in reducing stress, alleviating depression, and mitigating chronic fatigue.
Furthermore, sound healing emerges as a valuable resource for pain relief management. Its resonance becomes particularly significant in the context of serious illnesses like cancer, where it plays a role in the broader healing process.
Beyond the physiological realm, sound healing serves as a conduit for spiritual exploration, meditation, and connection with a larger, transcendent dimension.
Overall, the multifaceted benefits of sound healing encompass physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions, making it a holistic approach to health and well-being.
As the human body consists of more than 70% water, an excellent conductor of sound, the simplest way of communicating with the cells is through vibration. Sound moves, penetrates and transforms.

How Does Sound Healing Work?
All matter vibrates to a precise frequency. Our cells and organs are supported by a variety of specialized energy-distributing systems fed by nutrients and oxygen as well as a stream of life-force energy. This has long been acknowledged in Eastern healing, known as either qi or Prana.
This energy can be enhanced or inhibited by various factors. Disease is a result of this vibration not flowing freely in the body creating discordant energy. Past emotions, traumas, and habitual tendencies are stored within our being in every cell causing us to easily become imbalanced. Silence is the source of all Sound and all Sound must return to Silence.
“We know that it takes a clear intention (a coherent brain) and an elevated emotion (a coherent heart) to begin to change a person’s biology from living in the past to living in the future. That combination of mind and body—of thoughts and feelings—also seems to influence matter. And that’s how you create reality.”
My Training
My interest in sound therapy began when I read a book called Tuning The Human Biofield by Eileen Day McKusick (https://www.biofieldtuning.com/) This led to taking a Sound Therapy Foundations course in Koh Phangan Thailand with Pure Nature Yoga (https://purenatureyoga.com/)
With this foundation, I’ve taken overtones singing lessons (aka Mongolian Throat Singing,) attended hundreds of hours of sound healing sessions (crystal singing bowls, gongs, harps, etc.) and have hosted dozens of sound healing sessions at Pyramid Yoga Center in Thailand (https://pyramidyoga.com/) Finally I also did an intense mantra retreat in India with my Guruji.
I’m now delighted to take all the information & experience I’ve accumulated to share with those who are curious about sound as a healing tool.
The Body's Natural Frequency
Though it is referred to as “sound” healing, the benefits come less from listening to the sound and more from feeling the vibrations that create it. Sound healing is a part of the emerging field of vibrational medicine, which is based on the fact that everything, including each part of the human body, vibrates at a particular frequency.
Theories of vibrational medicine suggest that disease occurs when the body’s natural frequencies are disrupted, and that practices like sound healing can help return those frequencies to their natural levels, thus healing the disease. Sound vibration works on removing blockages on the physical, emotional and mental levels of our being. As the human body consists of more than 70% water the simplest way of communicating with the cells is through vibration. Even in healthy people it brings inner calm, higher levels of energy, and aids better sleep.
Tools such as sacred singing, mantras, chanting, singing bowls, bells, gongs, tuning forks, and drums entrain the brain and vibrate in resonance with your being. Through the use of clear intention and mindfulness, this creates an environment for wellness and growth. Healing with Sound, vibration, light, and color has been done since ancient times through the Egyptians, Greeks, Shamans, etc. Modern-day Sound Healing is known as contemporary in its approach due to the utilization of newer sound tools, research, experiments, and findings.
